If we dual boot Windows and Linux, we are required to select the sector by sector backup, since Windows doesn't recognize the Linux filesystem and files. However, by checking the sector by sector backup option, the backup image will be much larger, equal to the full capacity of the disk or the partition. This option will include the boot sector, and preserve any deleted files, so we can recover them after we restore the backup.
